ADVANCING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TREATMENT FOR DIABETES REVERSAL AND CURE

The International Diabetes Remission Registry (IDRR) is a research study of people (18 years and older), that have achieved diabetes remission. Unlike other research projects, that study how diabetes develops and progresses, this project focuses on studying how diabetes is reversed and sent into remission.  Methodologically, this approach is important because there is no warranty that by studying the causal mechanisms that generate the disease we will find the mechanisms that reverse it.

Through analysing clinical datasets and successful cases of diabetes, we strive to advance the development of clinical protocols, programs and policies for Diabetes Remission - a state in which blood glucose returns to normal levels in people with diabetes.
